Alana was a young girl who modeled for me at the home of artist Maria Lyle in Texas.  It was 2008.  While I made several sketches that day, I actually enjoyed her pose during the break.  Her colorful costume dress was a wonderful opportunity, but I prefer often to do monochromatic drawings.
